I bought some yesterday, nice and solid with good welds and pin for added safety. Better than my harbor freight ones

Just remember y'all, jack stands are rated in PAIRS so 2 tons is when you use BOTH of them at the same time.

Do you need to jack them both at the same time or can one hold long enough for you to do the other?

One then the other is fine for most sedans but will vary for SUVs/trucks. For most cars, one corner of the vehicle will be under 1 ton.

If you value your life and your vehicle, I'd recommend Jackpoint Jackstands. https://jackpointjackstands.com
If you want to be seen jacking a Cyberstuck with the cooler and tent accessories, wearing a Michael Kors shirt, holding a Stanley water bottle, at a Starbucks packing lot, making a Tiktok video.

The general advice is to buy jacks that are rated for not less than half the weight of your car. (I have a couple of cars that are north of 4000 lbs, so the 2 ton jacks are no good.)

Generally, I jack an end and put both in. Depending on how high you are jacking, my concern would me more over angle than weight limits.

Seriously question, is using tree trunk wood blocks safer than jackstands?

If you're supporting just one end of the SUV then 4000# stands are fine

Don't buy husky if you value your life
The huskey 3 ton and 6 ton stands are highly rated by Project Farm youtube channel, a truly unbiased sponsored tool review channel. I have the husky 6 ton jackstands, they are excellent stands. I can't describe in words, but I compared it to other jackstands I have and can tell they are far superior (same price range). The welds are good and the base has big feet(more contact with the ground).

Husky jackstands are great.
