These Husky 2 ton steel jack stands are mainly valued for their low 10.5 inch minimum height, which helps with sedans and coupes where extra clearance matters. The welds, base, and safety pin are described as solid, and the stands are said to compare well with Harbor Freight options in the same price range. The 2 ton rating is for both stands together, so they are best suited to supporting one end of a lighter vehicle. For heavier cars, the height and angle matter as much as the weight limit, making them a compact, practical choice for lower vehicles.

  • Shoppers prioritizing sturdy construction, because the welds are described as good and the base has large feet for more ground contact.

  • Sedan and coupe owners needing extra clearance, because the 10.5-inch collapsed height helps when a taller stand will not fit under the car.

  • Drivers lifting one end of a lighter SUV, because 2-ton stands are fine when they are only supporting half the vehicle.

  • DIY mechanics who want a compact stand for getting under low cars, because the lower minimum height makes jacking sedans much easier.

  • Safety-focused buyers who will not tolerate any doubt, because the stands were directly warned against on life-safety grounds.

  • Owners of vehicles over 4,000 pounds, because 2-ton stands are not enough when the full vehicle weight exceeds that limit.

  • People who want maximum stability for lifting all four corners, because 2-ton stands are less stable than taller 6-ton stands.

  • Drivers who want a stand with proven weld quality, because sketchy welds were reported on a prior purchase and the set was returned.

I bought some yesterday, nice and solid with good welds and pin for added safety. Better than my harbor freight ones

Just remember y'all, jack stands are rated in PAIRS so 2 tons is when you use BOTH of them at the same time.

Do you need to jack them both at the same time or can one hold long enough for you to do the other?

One then the other is fine for most sedans but will vary for SUVs/trucks. For most cars, one corner of the vehicle will be under 1 ton.

If you value your life and your vehicle, I'd recommend Jackpoint Jackstands. https://jackpointjackstands.com
If you want to be seen jacking a Cyberstuck with the cooler and tent accessories, wearing a Michael Kors shirt, holding a Stanley water bottle, at a Starbucks packing lot, making a Tiktok video.

The general advice is to buy jacks that are rated for not less than half the weight of your car. (I have a couple of cars that are north of 4000 lbs, so the 2 ton jacks are no good.)

Generally, I jack an end and put both in. Depending on how high you are jacking, my concern would me more over angle than weight limits.

Seriously question, is using tree trunk wood blocks safer than jackstands?

If you're supporting just one end of the SUV then 4000# stands are fine

Don't buy husky if you value your life
The huskey 3 ton and 6 ton stands are highly rated by Project Farm youtube channel, a truly unbiased sponsored tool review channel. I have the husky 6 ton jackstands, they are excellent stands. I can't describe in words, but I compared it to other jackstands I have and can tell they are far superior (same price range). The welds are good and the base has big feet(more contact with the ground).

Husky jackstands are great.
