Focus Pro Audio has 3-month prepaid subscription cards for online learning platform Fender Play on sale for $6, regularly $30. Maximum of 5 cards per purchase. (Shipping free @ $25, otherwise $7).

Fender Play is a highly regarded beginner and intermediate self-guided program for learning guitar, bass, and ukulele. It is available on the web and as an iPhone or Android app.

https://www.focusproaudio.com/pro...ccessories

The regular monthly price is $20, so this deal is a 90% savings over a month-to-month membership.

The Focus listing says cards must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase, however Fender Play says that prepaid subscription cards never expire (but cannot be stacked). YMMV.

Is anyone still rocking their $15 a year sub from several years back? Customer reps told me it would stay at $15 a year until I canceled... and in most years I've covered the cost with the 10% off.

I mean, I know it's only six dollars, but is fender play even worth it?

It's a well laid out program and really well produced. I did the free trial way back with my son. It's great. Justinguitar.com is a free and well produced option. Fender at $2 a month is a great price.

Second for Justin Guitar. Fender Play feels like a bunch of grad students forced to record lessons. Justin gives more "cool uncle" vibes.

I'm rocking the $10/ year sub from an even earlier SD. I just confirmed that's still what I'm charged every January. Thanks for the reminder about it.

I messed up. When mine renewed for $15 I thought they converted me to $15 a month so I canceled it. When I realized my mistake they basically shrugged their shoulders and would only offer me the $149 option.

That deal is listed as $10/mo for life. If you're really getting it for $10/year that's awesome and a no-brainer to keep paying. The 10% Fender store discount would pay for that quickly.

Your right! I read it too fast. However, I did end up with a $10/ year subscription. Jumped on it way back when as I wanted to learn guitar, even though I'd heard great things about Justin's videos.

My order of 5 cards arrived today.

Cards themselves explicitly state:

"Prepaid Card does not expire and there are no services fees." so the message on the Focus page appears to be incorrect.

Still can't stack them, but should be able to redeem a new one as the old one expires.

$24/year isn't as good as the old-time annual steals ya'll have, but it's not bad either.

One downside of the monthly membership is that it doesn't seem to include the 10% Fender store discount.

Even better! I always keep an eye on it just to make sure they actually charge me $15, and so far so good. I even used the tutorials a bit this year.
