This is not pure copper but has aluminum in it.

Yes it is. It make a difference on longer runs. It helps with voltage drop. This will really matter in DC lanscape applications like 12V lighting.

Copper clad aluminum carries about half the current of pure copper. It is also becomes brittle. You will regret it.

This is a great price. I paid like $100 for this same 250' roll back in February for a lighting project. It's good solid copper wire, no issues with voltage drop over 200' distance.

My one complaint is that it isn't easy to pull apart from the middle seam. You have to be careful or it will tear the sheathing around the wire. Just don't think you can just grab and pull it apart.
