They have a design flaw, the spring bar that assists the opening function tends to break. I am on my 5th spring bar in the 10-12 years of ownership. I may have opened it less than 300 times over the years. Would not recommend.

Specifically the blur? I have 2 cryos and tjey are absolutely rock solid, one is my everyday car bag and anotjer always on me, mostly for boxes and plastic bags. Been waiting for it to go on sale again but cryo seems to never be the model on sale lol

i have this but never really used it because the grip on the sides makes it very difficult to clip it to my pocket ........lso it just sits in my collection of knives.

I have carried my blur daily for over 7 years and am satisfied. For me, the overall size and blade stoutness and shape are good. I open it at least a couple of times a day and have had no issues. The grippy inlay in the aluminum scales does, as another post mentions, make it harder to clip into your pocket, but I regard that as an acceptable trade for the improved grip when wet or oily. It also improves the knife's grip on your pocket in case some tree branch, seatbelt, or jacket hem tries to remove it (don't ask how I know). My only gripe is the freakishly sharp thumb studs - very hard on fabric and flesh.

I've bought this knife (the serrated version) 4 times over the years because I am very good at losing things.
The last time I thought I'd try a different knife just to see, so went with the Kershaw Iridium, I've regretted it. I am just hoping I eventually lose this one so I can buy another Blur Tanto serrated.
The Blur doesn't open as fast as the Iridium, but it's got a lot better hand feel and feels better on closing too.
