If you want a way cheaper heart rate monitor for your garmin watch you can just get the coospo one on amazon for around $40. I've had that one for years and it works with 0 problems with my garmin 935. The knock off brand heart rate straps work with different brands of watches as well.
I have the full-strap (non-bra) version and it's nice to have if you're a sucker for running dynamics data (step speed loss, vertical ratio, etc.). If you're expecting to get more accurate heart rate monitoring, I'd recommend saving your money, as mine is never more than one bpm off of what my Fenix 8 says.
