Some people find it easier getting off a cot than an air matress. You dont have to worry about holes in the matress or if you brough the right tools to inflate the matress.

I cant speak for the quality of this cot/mattress but the air mattress i tried, if its not a $100 plus air matress they tend to be flimsy. Im referring the ones you use for camping not the in home ones which tend to be way bigger because you dont have to worry about the twnt size.

Yeah, even the expensive inflatable air mattresses do eventually break. I bought the most expensive one at REI like 10 years ago and by now it's unworkable. Only used it a few times a year, and most often indoors as an extra bed for guests. I probably got my money's worth anyway, but none of the air mattresses are long term.

I thought about this fir a minute as an alternative to a hammock if it's easier for kids to climb on. But then again, the challenge of a hammock is part of the fun.

For those just wanting a cot/floor bed, Temu has the Japanese floor beds, tri-fold memory foam 4 inch twin size for about $36. Amazons price for the same exact one on their best day is $70.
