They have an engineering flaw in the form of weak plastic swivel hinges between the earpieces and the headband that will break under normal usage. Owned two pairs that both grenaded themselves at 15 and 18 months respectively.
It's a shame because these are great headphones that Sony refused to stand behind. Don't under any circumstances pay more than $10 for CH520s.
