WTF? Amazon won't ship this to me in NY State? I thought they wanted us to "go green".

Did the ban already take place for NY?

I was wondering whether it could fold and how much did it weight, to carry it indoors over your shoulder but just read that it weights 100lbs, so that's probably a bad idea...

Why is the GT3 so much worse than the GT1 and GT2?

Segway "high end" scooters like the GT1 GT2 GT3 are a terrible value compared to almost any other well known good brands such as Kaabo Wolf King series, Teewing, etc. The reasons Segway scooters suck are because they are significantly heavier than most comparable scooters of the same top speed and range, they are more expensive than comparable other brands, they have more expensive replacement parts, they have a lot of parts that are not replaceable or sold separately so if some parts fail then you can't repair it and have to buy a whole new one. The only good thing about them is that they feel quite rugged and sturdy, but that's not to say other brands are weak or will break, these Segway scooters are just poorly/inefficiently designed so they are a lot heavier than they have to be.

My buddy has one of the high end chinese pick a part scooters, I have the new GT3. His is ostensibly faster, ostensibly better in every spec. It's not even close though when it comes to riding experience, and he agrees. He wishes he'd got the Segway, I regretted my choice until I rode his.

Stats aren't everything. The ninebot is the superior scooter driving experience.

I started with a Kaabo Mantis Pro, then upgraded to a Wolf King GT, then Dualtron Thunder 2, then the wholy grail Emove Roadster when 2 friends got the Segway GT3 Pro for $2700 and that's when most of us started to realize all the "hyperscooters" cost way too much for only a little extra performance so I stepped down to a Teewing Mars XTR + Kukirin G4 (same as Teewing GT4) and those are the two scooters I ride most of the time now and I've sold all the other "hyperscooters". I was always worried about getting scooter-jacked which has happened to 4 different people I ride with at 4 different times when they were riding alone in the last 3 years so if I don't have a super expensive scooter I'm far less likely for that to happen. It was fun to be able to go over 65mph but I so rarely used the features of the hyperscooters that it made more sense for multiple reasons to downgrade and I'm only 2% sad about it.
