This 37 inch LG smart monitor stands out as a 4K IPS display with USB Type C charging, built in speakers, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and a $50 Costco Shop Card that softens the $399.99 price. The larger screen and IPS panel are the main draws, and the 4K image is paired with smooth scrolling for everyday desktop use. The main knocks are the 60 hertz refresh rate, the smart TV style features, and reports that LG monitor software can try to install companion apps or ads. It is also described as dim and clunky to use, making it a better fit for simple monitor duties than flashy extras.

  • The monitor can deliver smoother scrolling with no ghosting reported after use.

  • The deal includes a $50 Costco Shop Card that can offset the sale price.

  • The monitor offers a 4K IPS panel that can be a positive for image quality.

  • The monitor may attempt to install McAfee Antivirus or trigger unwanted app behavior after plugging in.

  • The smart features can feel like a TV-and-monitor double duty that may not suit everyone.

  • The built-in OS can feel clunky and the screen can be dim in real use.

  • The 60Hz refresh rate can limit performance for scrolling and gaming expectations.

Not everyone wants to game, nor has time to game, my friend.
Regardless, 60 hz is a joke.

37" (standard 16:9) is very different than 34" (ultra-wide). The title and deal header should be fixed.

Not exactly. All my monitors are 4k @60 hz and one is at 75 hz and I see the diff. while scrolling slickdeals page. I'd pay 100 more for 120hz.
Eh, I recently upgraded my main monitor from 4K60 to 4K120. On desktop scrolling the difference is there, but not that dramatic, even side by side with my two monitors. You're not going to be reading while the text is moving anyways. A bigger screen will make more difference than the difference in refresh rate.

On gaming it's more noticeable.

Yeap, scrolling is much smoother and no more ghosting that makes my head spun.

Lol. No students are buying these things. Especially at 60 hz. Nice story though. Maybe you can tell another relating to how shady LG is. I'm sure students loved that sketchy software "feature" too.
So who is buying them..."Lol?" And you know what, you are probably correct, students are not buying them....mommy and daddy, maybe meemaw and pawpaw too...for the students. Heck, meemaw and pawpaw might also buy one for their RV...

Every manufacturer makes them, but according to you no one is buying.

And what does 60hz have to do with it? Do you really think someone is planning on hardcore gaming on a 37" flat panel purchased from Costco?!? LMAO2

Amusing you really think gamers are buying 60hz monitors in 2026. Or that most people are not just opting for an actual tv rather than this glitchy pos. You're clueless. That's been established. Obviously you have never seen let alone used this monitor. The screen is dim af. The OS is clunky and cumbersome. So do your pathetic shilling elsewhere and move on already and direct your weird little immature rants towards someone else.

Multiple companies are making these type hybrids when you pretend their is no target market? LOL "You're clueless." Otherwise please explain why they are constantly and year after year manufacturing them? Seems strange, don't it?

And you are the only one who keeps thinking this is a "gAmEr" targeted project. It is NOT and I have stated that. "That's been established." So you can stop you "pathetic shilling" for another brand inserting that weak argument only you are having.

P.S. "direct your weird little immature rants towards someone else"...said the guy singling insults and getting really upset about a monitor he's clearly never used and showed up to the comments only to rant about. Dead Horse
