reddit has an active amazfit community and I recommend checking reviews there before buying any particular model

IMHO amazfit is getting there but not quite ready for an investment yet

I have had a couple of their watches over the last few years. Honestly, bang for the buck, I cannot complain. I have the bip6 now, been solid, and you're not out a ton of something happens to it.

I have the very similar Active 3 Premium. It's been great for fitness tracking. The offline topo maps work well for hiking and aren't offered on any other watches remotely close to this price. Some of the smartwatch convenience features are lacking but that's not what I got it for.

I wish they still sold the e-ink type watches instead of the AMOLED ones.

I'm having a Amazfit T-Rex 2 for last couple of years.

There is no better watch on the market than this.

I've been using a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 classic for a few years now and the battery life was lame from the start. What has been your experience with the Amazon offering, please?

As a longtime Garmin user, my Amazfit Bip6 is way better with smart watch features than any Garmin. Features like being able to answer calls from my watch and talk into my watch. Also voice to text replies to texts you just received. For exercise and health stuff, especially sleep tracking, Garmin is better. I also like Garmin's app better. For the $80 I spent last Christmas, I am really happy with the Bip 6. Makes upgrading to newer models less painful.

My Amazfit can easily get a week on the battery, and this is with many of the settings using more power than the default. Short battery life is why I would never get a Samsung or Apple. If Amazfit and Garmin can give decent battery life, I see zero reason that Samsung and Apple can't do the same thing.

Ive had this watch for like 5-6 months, best watch I ever owned and the price is right. I paid $170 this is even better. Lasts about 10 days and I use the GPS daily for exercise so the only thing I would say its a bit thick. I came from a Pixel watch 3 I could not stand it only lasted a bit over a day (it was thinner tho). Also voice response works on my android, 100%. The only thing I dislike at this point is Amazfit always trying to upsell me to their premium tier which TBH has zero value for me. Also tap to pay not available in the US. Some light LLM LOL should be free but hey. I get it.

Battery life alone was the reason I bought a Bip 6 and I love the watch overall. The features are great, I will never purchase another brand again. I came from Samsung which I had for years, battery life on Samsung watches is absolute garbage.

I've been using an Amazfit Active 2 watch (cheaper version of this deal) for the last 1.5 years and am very happy with it. It seems to be just as accurate as well as faster and easier to use than an older Garmin watch that it replaced. I had been using Garmin for years, but they have gotten so expensive that I gave up on them. Batteries on these GPS watches last about 3 years, then I'd rather buy a new Amazfit for $100 than a new Garmin for $400. The Amazfit hardware is great. I'm only using the free software features like syncing notifications from my Android phone and GPS workout tracking (running, hiking, bicycling, etc). A lot of the sleep and health tracking require a paid subscription and I skipped them since I am unsure about how accurate and/or useful they would be to me.

In for one. This is one of Amazfit's best offerings. It has software support for another 2 years

Yeah, definitely not buying expensive watches anymore. My partner broke the sapphire screen on a brand new Apple watch.

yeah, I bought 2 of the amazfit 5's from woot for 20 dollars a piece, and I love it, I get 28 days of battery on it, I can mark by calender and mark the weeks between charges. I don't use a lot of the bells and whistles, just for time/stopwatch,timer. It does have the stuff, but I got it for the 4 weeks of battery per charge. Iwatch got old for me fast, 1 day battery life. The vibrations work for me and don't bother others.
I am always thinking about a new amazfit model. I didn't even take the 2nd amazfit 5 out of the box yet.
