Only a select number of flights qualify for GoWild and you need to book a day before departure (domestic) or 10 days before departure (international).

Also, Frontier simply doesn't have that many routes, IMO. You can hop around the US or visit a small number of Caribbean or Central America locations. US is pretty comprehensive but does not include Hawaii.

even with all the limitations, seems like a great deal esp if you have a lot of hotel points or a timeshare.

Gowild fare is not $0. First time I saw this deal, I thought it was $199 all in, and wondered it was just too good to be true for any airline.

Plus you have to fly frontier, while being super flexible

I can see it works for some people though

Biggest drawback to me is that you can't book roundtrip flights. You have to search for a return flight the day before you head home and hope there's one available.

Warning: They can and will cancel empty flights at last minute. My wife purchased a flight yesterday for a flight leaving this morning and they canceled it without warning. She signed up for Go Wild right after the Fall/Winter pass was available. She was flying home after her father passed away. At booking, half of the plane was empty. She had to beg customer service to fly her to another airport 3 hours away from her initial destination. And then, she needed to take an Uber home at her own expense. This is a basically a subscription program that they use to fill up underperforming flights without any guarantee that you will have one at time of departure.

That's because Hawaiian Airlines owns Hawaii, and SouthWest is about the only carrier willing to lose money fighting them for it...

I had this never used it once. I agree round trip would make this much better. You have to be retired and a ton of time on your hands.

Dont do this! thank me later. this is a scam! there will be exceptionary people that say it works for them, but it's 0.5% of the people. it is very restrictive and no flights ever available. I speak from experience. Wasted my money.

I am a member and flew several years prior to Go Wild Purchase. The catch is the pass works best if you fly from a hub. I fly from Denver. Recently, last 6 months or so most direct flights ( depending on where you go) are no longer direct. Many 12 hour layovers, or more. You almost always have a layover at this point ( besides vegas from denver or something close). They also took away several routes. The other catch is you pay for luggage both ways unless you can travel with a very small personal bag ( I do it no problem, but they almost always check your bag for size). Futhermore, the " correct" use of this pass to save the most money, is checking at midnight the day before your flight. Which means you wont know if you have a ticket back, when you leave.

Frontier makes Spirit look like the Emirates of US low cost carriers.

That --> Biggest drawback to me is that you can't book roundtrip flights. You have to search for a return flight the day before you head home and hope there's one available.

And --> There are ALOT of blackout dates during the fall/winter during the pass dates. Like 33 blackout dates through the end of February.

And --> No seat selection. No luggage included.
