just remember to use the DisplayPort (1.4) to get 165Hz as this uses HDMI 2.0 which will only get you 120Hz.

Sure but it never hurts to have it. Sometimes when you have no other speakers available and this is better than nothing.

I wonder if this can do 1440p 120hz with the Xbox Series X. I have a monoprice 32" 1440p 165hz and it will only do 1080p 120hz

Generally, the main difference between TVs and Monitors is this. So, yes, it's not a TV.


Edit: Just noticed this is IPS. This is a fantastic deal! Most ~$200 32" QHD 144-165hz deals in the past were VA panels with noticeable ghosting and/or tricky color calibration. I've purchased a lot of those over the years. The picture quality should be a whole step better.

Unfortunately my experience with HP monitors is they do not play well with XSX. LG does very well though if you can find something for a good price.
