I have 2, and it didn't change the feel of my bed at all, so back pain relief is an unfounded claim. It might give you some pressure point relief since it is unusually thick, but that also makes it a pain to get dry and spin out in the washer.

I love it. It's thick and comfy. I don't have back pain problems, so I can't comment on that, but as far as comfy, yes. I would buy again.
