There are frequently negative comments on Ryan's books and I don't get it. He presents no new ideas, but they are presented in easy to read, inspiring ways with modern anecdotes. He distills the best quotes from the greats and categorizes everything into his own, neat boxes.

Maybe not for everyone, but I read these not to be an expert on Stoicism, but to be inspired to live better. Works for me.

My favorite: Stillness is the key.
