McDonald's app breakfast sandwich deal is a strong discount on eligible breakfast items, especially where regular prices run around five dollars or more. The offer is tied to Rewards, valid at participating locations through 10, 4, and in some accounts it appears weekly or even daily. The biggest draw is the steep savings on McMuffins and biscuit sandwiches, with some locations still allowing steak, egg and cheese bagels through the Deals tab. The main catch is that bagels and steak have been removed in many areas, and the exact sandwich list and redemption limit vary by market and account.
The deal is available through the McDonald's app at participating locations and is valid once per week through 10/4/26.
The $2 breakfast sandwich offer can be a noticeable discount versus local regular pricing around $5.29.
The offer can include higher-priced items like the steak, egg and cheese bagel when selected through the Deals section in-app.
The app can support Egg McMuffin customization by substituting regular bacon for Canadian bacon with a small upcharge.
The $2 offer can exclude bagels and steak, limiting eligible sandwiches to biscuits and McMuffins with specific meats.
The app deal can be less attractive than other app promotions, such as $1 coffee or free medium fries with a $1 purchase.
The McDonald's app can raise privacy and data-access concerns, including location requirements and broad device permissions.
The redemption experience can vary by how the deal is entered in the app, which can prevent selecting certain items from the homepage.

Not a bad deal for an Egg McMuffin, but not exactly newsworthy.
If you're in the Atlanta area, anytime the Braves hit a double the following day you can get a McDouble for close to free.
It says free with any purchase and I paid $.29 for Big Mac sauce as my "purchase" and it went through on the app.

I don't use the app daily, but this offer is there every time I load the app for a breakfast order.
Additionally, this happened last year - McD's couldn't keep the lid on the private hiring data of 60 MILLION applicants. If it can't protect its own applicants' data, what makes you think your data is safe w/McD's? https://dailysecurityre
What data you ask? Everything. It also limits your ability to sue.

Be sure to read the privacy policy on the App Store page. You'll be shocked what access/info it "needs"/you're giving them.
Bottom line - they are conditioning you by these app-only "deals" (which should be illegal) to give them access to all data.
If you care about privacy in any way, delete the app. It's not worth saving a few bucks.
