5' is from wire end to wire end.
Community Reviews
This Halloween spider decoration is a lightweight, bendable wire piece with a small foam body and head, best for a creepy crawling look on a wall or web. The 5 foot size is measured from leg end to leg end, so the spider can feel smaller than expected. The wire may not hold the body upright well, and outdoor durability looks limited. Bundle options and a spider plus web combo offer better value than the single item.
Common Questions (5)
The 5' measurement is from leg end to leg end, not a 5-foot-tall body. The spider itself is a fur-covered bendable wire frame with a small foam body and head, so it can look much smaller than the headline size suggests.
Yes. A 3-pack was mentioned at $20, a 4-pack at $20, and a 6-pack was also bought for $14.99, which can lower the per-spider price versus the single-item deal.
The wire may be too weak to support the body upright, so it works better as a draped decoration than a standing one. It may look good posed crawling down a wall, but it may not last long outside.
It can be very intimidating, especially for people with arachnophobia. The size and look may be enough to make some kids avoid approaching the house.
A spider-and-web bundle was pointed out at the same $8.99 price. That makes the bundle the better value if you want both pieces for the same cost.
