Can this be added to a X55 system using POE or is it not worth mixing and matching?
I havent been too happy with X55 mesh + X50 outdoor due to coverage and speed (x50 outdoor is on wired POE) , what is a better alternative to TP link?

I've mixed and matched the BE65 indoor system with the BE25 outdoor units and they work flawlessly. I believe all Deco units should work together without any issues. I ordered these to replace the BE25 outdoor units since I'm within the return window. I think $80 more for tri-band is worth it. Hoping they have the same mounting mechanism and power cables so I can avoid extra drilling.

Thanks, after further thinking into this, I think I'll wait to replace whole system with something else. My deco mesh now keeps dropping internet randomly

That's unfortunate because I've had a pretty positive experience with Deco. I came from Asus and their AI Mesh system which I could never get stable, despite trying multiple configurations of routers/satellites as well as stock and Merlin firmwares. I was about to pay a low voltage electrician to run ethernet in my house, which would have required a lot of drywall work afterwards. Fortunately I've had quite literally no issues with Deco. It helps that everything was purchased from Costco (both the 3x BE65 indoor system and now the 2x BE65 Outdoor units) so I can probably return them if they ever give me issues.
I hope you find a system that works for you!

I kept having drop outs and issues with the master unit needing to be reset on my plume mesh setup. Finally broke down and bought a three pack of the XE70 pro deco units. No issues so far and I have had them for about a year and a half.
