The heat mode rating is not good- may be OK for southern state- but not up north.

only benefit of paying more here is that its costco and their return policy.

For the most part the cheaper the better and can find 18K units for half the price and all are made from the same factories. If costco included free install for this price than thats a different story

You get what you pay for with mini-splits. I just paid 3 times this price, for half the BTU's in exchange for a 32 SEER2 rating and a 10yr warranty. For the money this is a good purchase.

HI Smart, where do you live? it is called the hspf2 rating. NICE IF IT IS 9+ Some states require 10+ for new construction- I don't think it's needed. I look for =5F or -22F. capability.

I'd order two if free installation was included. Unfortunately, the labor cost is more expensive than the unit itself in my area.

Mitsubishi 6,000 BTU FS-Series 32.2 SEER2
Enjoy, but there's very little savings when SEER gets this high.

A 20 SEER2 unit might consume 1,000 kWh during a cooling season, the Mitsubishi would consume roughly 621 kWh, saving about 379 kWh. At 13.3¢ per kWh, that is approximately $50 saved here in Texas.

You could double the savings with extremely heavy cooling use: potentially $100 a year

Absolutely not worth the money as long as you're attached to the grid.
