I found the interface to be slow and inefficient, and the display to be underwhelming. The battery life was not good. It also charged very very slowly.
The case cover is grey (white model), which feels like a cheap choice in not having matching plastic covers to go with the color of the calculator.
It is USB-C finally, which their flagship nSpire still isn't.
The options for customizing the screen or print layout were non existent, which is frustrating when the layout isn't very modern.
The display print format is not great. My 20 yr old TI-89 exceeds it, which feels like a really sloppy design choice for a new model.
It doesn't feel focussed on being a good device to use. It feels focussed on checking boxes without having any user testing to see if it's enjoyable to use.
If you don't need a TI-84 specifically for school, I don't recommend it.
I returned it and am going to give the numworks a go, which is $99 on Amazon at the moment.

The TI-84 Evo is a school-focused graphing calculator that keeps the familiar TI-84 layout while adding USB-C charging and a few useful math upgrades. The interface stays consistent with older TI calculators, which helps in classrooms, and the degree and radian handling, fraction display, and easy decimal toggle are practical touches. It also preserves the tactile keypad that beats typing on a phone or tablet. The main drawbacks are a slow interface, weak battery life, slow charging, and a display and print format that feel dated. A solid fit when school compatibility matters more than modern polish.
USB-C charging removes the need for a special charging cable.
The calculator can handle degree and radian inputs with automatic conversion.
Rational-number results can display as fractions with easy toggling to decimals.
Tactile key input can feel better than typing on a phone or PC.
Battery life can be poor and charging can be very slow.
The print format and display can feel underwhelming or worse than older TI models.
The interface can feel slow and inefficient, which hurts day-to-day usability.
Starting from off can require extra button presses before calculations are available.

You have to press extra buttons before you can even do a calculation from "off", and there's no way to default to calculations right away.
