This deal is Gen 1. Gen 2 adds 30 vs 24 hr battery, ANC can finally be turned completely off (Gen 1 can't), USB-C lossless audio, Bluetooth 5.4, improved calls/ANC, and Cinema Mode. Sound and comfort are basically the same.

You're seeing the basic QuietComfort for $199. These are the Ultras, Costco is selling them for $449: https://www.costco.com/.product.4000400953.html

I could be wrong. Can you link me to the deal you're talking about?

Community Reviews

These Bose QuietComfort Ultra refurb headphones are the Gen 1 model, and the deal stands out mainly for strong noise canceling and comfort. Bluetooth 5.3, solid road noise reduction for walking, and a brand new look after refurbishing all come up as positives. The 2 year Allstate warranty is a meaningful upgrade over Bose's one year coverage. Main caveats are that Gen 2 adds newer features and some fit changes, while the Gen 1 can have occasional connectivity bugs and is not sweatproof.

Costco online is selling them brand new for $200. I seen some warehouses selling them for $150.

Thanks for the data point. I think this still qualifies as a good price for QuietComfort Ultras.

Same price on Bose's website. If you're a first responder using ID.me. You get another $20 off.

But there is only one year warranty vs the 2 year allstate warranty that Allstate offers

Link to a better deal on Gen 1s? From a reputable source, with a 2 year warranty?

Only better deal I can find is from February for $183 https://slickdeals.net/f/19191490

Unless you have a time machine, the $17 difference and 2 year warranty might make it worth buying now.

You are correct. When I posted I did check to make sure it didn't say ultra. I clearly still didn't see it. My apologies.

I got these so road noise doesn't drown out my audio when I'm out walking, earbuds haven't been able to cut it for me but the Bose do the job well. My only complaint is that I wish they were sweatproof.
