Pretty sure Harbor Freight sells an orange one of these for cheaper every day of the week and occasionally cheaper via coupon.

They work decently for holiday lights.

learn how to tie a daisy chain and you will never need these things again. A daisy chain can be folded for storage, will not tangle, and you only need to unwind the amount you need.

I need this to hold my 100' daisy chained wrapped extension cord, that thing is still like 15-20' long

I've always just wrapped my Christmas lights around cheap plastic coat hangars for storage. Works great and they dont tangle.

Maybe they don't carry them anymore; probably bought mine 5 years ago.

Anyway, every day price at Ace is $3.59: https://www.acehardware.com/depar...eels/32197
Home Depot: $4.18: https://www.homedepot.com/pep/HDX.../301035624

Both of those also say they'll hold 150' of 16/3 vs the 100' of OP's.

Edit: Thinking back, it may have been at a dollar store?

Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.

So plastic.
