these cheap rolls are frustrating at best. if you do multiple seals and the sealing surface gets warm, these bags will "collapse" from the sealing surface heat and not let the vacuum pull out the air. If you've ever compared them to the foodsaver bags, the checkered side of the bag is much thinner and collapses way too easy.

That's been my experience at least.

"These cheap rolls" Does that mean THIS brand specifically? 20k 4.5 star reviews seems like it may be an issue with your particular sealer.
