Community Reviews
This refurbished Acer Aspire 14 is a budget 14 inch touchscreen laptop that stands out for strong battery life, solid everyday performance, and a clean, easy to service design with a standard M.2 SSD. The keyboard, USB port selection, and charging support get good marks, and the 1TB storage and 16GB memory make the price feel competitive. The main tradeoffs are the display and audio, which are often described as dim, soft, or not very sharp, with poor speakers and touchpad rejection also called out. Build quality can feel all plastic and a bit flimsy, so it is a practical pick if you can live with the screen and sound.
Common Questions (5)
The 14-inch 1200p IPS touchscreen is usable and generally fine for everyday work, but it can look soft, dim, and not especially bright or color-rich. Text may appear a little soft, and outdoor use can be limited by brightness.
Some units arrive with issues such as screen blanking, a dim display, or chassis dents, and the build is described as all-plastic and not very stiff. Other units arrive looking brand new, so condition can vary a lot by refurb unit.
The speakers are widely described as poor, with audio quality called bad and not close to good. They are still loud enough for occasional YouTube, but not ideal for music or movies.
It can handle light gaming and some mainstream titles at 1080p around 60 fps on medium settings, and its integrated graphics are described as decent for the class. Performance is positioned around Z1 Extreme-level graphics in one comparison, making it suitable for casual gaming rather than demanding AAA play.
A direct Acer refurbished purchase is covered for 1 year, and Acer can provide a replacement refurbished unit if it cannot be repaired, when available. The listing is also described as coming with a 2-year warranty in one comment, making the deal more attractive for a refurb gamble.

At the same time for the same sale, people report received brand new units.
Also when I had it, I recall the screen was very dim.
got this for 767 excellent no tax
Mine looked to be pretty much brand new and the battery/SSD statistics showed basically no use. Overall I've been happy with my purchase and wouldn't change my decision. I've got a Thunderbolt dock that I also use for my WFH setup and this works well with it. Allows me to use my big monitor and KB/mouse setup when when I want it for the laptop. Relatively clean windows install out of the box. I did uninstall a bit of stuff but nothing that was problematic to uninstall. The Acer software does allow you to limit the battery charging to 80% which I appreciate since I don't really need the full battery capacity in my normal usage. Happy to have a little bit less capacity to help preserve the battery health long term. On battery I can play things like Hearthstone for quite a while without running out of power. The Lunar Lake chips aren't the fastest chips with only 4p 4e but they are pretty efficient for good battery life and plenty fast enough for normal usage. When I first started setting it up the trackpad wasn't working but it was just it being toggled off. Function F10 fixed that. Once you know what it is the key is clear enough but I didn't immediately recognize it.
With prices on memory and storage so high this still seems like a steal of a deal if the laptop works for you. 16gb of DDR5 and a 1tb SSD runs about $350 at retail so $400 for the entire laptop seems solid.
I bought it for work and didn't want to spend too much. Like many say, the screen isn't great, but perfectly usable imo. I wish it was a little bit brighter tho, as I occasionally work outside. The laptop is certainly not pretty and build quality is mediocre. When holding it with one hand on the right side, the running fan will scratch on the bottom cover.
Performance for my use cases is excellent and so is battery life. With the right charger and cable, it charges quickly at 100W. The keyboard is pleasant to type on, but not quite as good as the Thinkpad laptops that I have used for work in the past. Audio quality was mention in this thread. I don't watch movies on it or listed to music. The speakers work well and loud enough for the occasional YouTube video.
All in all, I would buy it again if I had to and my budget was tight.
