Airline Price Timing and Luggage Storage Options

Hi

Booked for cruise from Miami Dec 12-17 want to fly in day early and come back the day the cruise ends or maybe the day after (So Dec 11 NY-MIA/FLL and Dec 17 or 18 FLL/MIA to NY)

Looked at flights last week, seemed OK. But we could not agree on when to come back (Dec 17, time of day or maybe stay an extra night and come back on 18th).

Auugh. I did a search Dec 11 returning Dec 17 yesterday and there were reasonable times for 248

This mornng those same flights are 298! Last week there were better options (for me) for 238, those options are now 312?!?!

Do prices ever go DOWN? LOL I feel really dumb, I shoulda booked at least the outgoing flight to lock in the earlier lower prices. People keep saying prices reset on Tuesday? Should I book tonight or wait til tomorrow morning to see if it comes down?

Also... on Dec 17 we get off the ship and ... if we have a late flight... are there places we can leave our luggage so we can sightsee/get lunch/early dinner before heading out to airport? This can be in either Miami or Ft Lauderdale (where we will likely fly into/out of due to lower prices).

THANKS

I'm in similar dates for great many couples on Nov and Dec cruises, we all got near-free on cruiseline's mis-price. Since Spirit's demise, all airlines abandoned the $25-49 flights we enjoyed for decades. So since May 2026, cruises are cheaper than flights. As a matter of fact: I have a 16-night cruise this fall to Europe, and a 16-night cruise from Europe - not much more expensive than flying. And that's an all-inclusive!!

Oh man, I missed a cruise mis price? LOL Where do you find out about such things? I don't think I've seen any cruises on SD... but then I admit I don't look here for cruise deals...

Those repositioning cruises sound awesome. Now that I'm retired, I want to try one... the longest cruise I've been on was 9 mights. One day soon...

We have real cruise deals daily on our private email list. 99% of public has no clue, and just books "direct" with cruiselines cuz cruiselines send them direct emails advertizing their "sales". Cruiselines "sales" are like liquidation stores "sales" that roll over "70-90% off" (continuously) on goods that are actually available cheaper somewhere else
