BTW, how do you get the live benchmark data show up on the screen while the game is playing - the CPU/GPU temp, fan speed, FPS etc. Is that pretty much in all games these days?

I don't think I've used that in decades, probably on my Riva TNT card, followup GeForce2, and maybe also the Ti4200, before I jumped over to ATi. It may have even been used retroactively on my old Riva 128 when it remained in service in a secondary system.
