I use this jacket to run in the cooler windy months. It's great. Packs super small for when I'm ready to take it off.

I will say it DOES NOT breathe. So it gets pretty gross when I'm running but for the wind protection and packing size it's still my go to.

This is a good price for it too

Bought one due to the super small pack size and it majorly came in handy during a major rain one morning. The pack size is what makes it convenient. Wish it had hand pockets though

How good is the water repellent in real world? I noticed it is not water proof. Are there hand pockets? It's not listed in features.

It's better than nothing but it doesn't hold up in any rain that's more than a light sprinkle for very long. It's a very very thin material and it unfortunately doesn't have any hand pockets, just an almost unusable breast pocket which it packs into. I love it as a "I'm 90% sure I don't need a jacket today but because its so small I'll pack it anyways" jacket. As someone else mentioned despite being thin it doesn't breathe very well so it still provides some decent insulation.

I think I have a slightly older model but it does not have hand pockets. I don't think mine even has a chest pocket. Can't speak for the long term waterproofing but I was out in a pretty significant rain for a good 20+ minutes and stayed totally dry.

Patagonia have a lot of dirty looking models. Like they should get a haircut and good scrub

Love traveling with this because it packs down so well. I'll echo the "not breathable" comment though. It's about as breathable as a grocery bag.

It's water repellent, not water proof but it's not breathable? No thanks. Might as well get a cheap vinyl jacket.
