Seems this was downgraded at some point in the last few years from a full aluminum construction to an aluminum + plastic core that's less sturdy. Also, the silver is $2 more from Woot on Amazon.com, and that's probably worth the ease of return if you don't like it

I got my silver one in June for $17, currently it's $18. I didn't even realize that it has a plastic core - those black panels sandwiched between aluminum sheets. They can be seen in the photos. Anyways, I don't find that affecting the operation. It definitely makes it lighter, but since I use an external keyboard and don't type directly on a laptop sitting on a stand - I don't find it not sturdy. The stand hinges are pretty tight and holds 16" laptop solidly in place.

So yeah, this is like 18-22% off from the regular price, but not 72% off. Still, if you are Prime member and don't mind potential hassle with returns, it's a good deal.
