This 5 in 1 HDMI switch is a handy way to add more inputs to a TV or monitor, especially for 4K 60Hz setups and retro consoles. It fits well when a display only has a few HDMI ports, and the remote makes source changes easier. The main limits are that it tops out at 60Hz, lacks automatic switching, and is not suited to PS5 features that need HDMI 2.1 like VRR and 4K 120Hz. A practical budget add on if your gear stays within HDMI 2.0.
The switch can help when a TV has only two or three HDMI inputs available.
The switch can work with HDMI 2.0 TVs by maxing the display settings available on the TV.
The switch can support a working setup that uses a Series X on HDMI 2.1 while routing other devices through the switch.
The switch can be useful for retro console setups by adding extra HDMI ports for additional systems later.
The switch is limited to 60Hz refresh rates, which can restrict higher-refresh gaming.
The switch may be unsuitable for PS5 features that require HDMI 2.1 for VRR and 4K at 120Hz.
The switch lacks automatic switching, which requires manual input switching.
The switch may not fit setups that prioritize maximum graphics from a high-end TV and console.

OR... maybe you already have an hdmi 2.1 cable that's attaching your PS5/PC to your $2000 but you also multiple older consoles (PS3, Switch, Xbox, etc) you wanna hook up to this same TV. And said $2000 TV has more than one hdmi input so you have at least 1 or 2 extra hdmi ports you can hook this up to???
