That's because Acer's "Acer Store" on eBay has a large presence, and they often have some excellent models and price:performance stuff available. While some 3rd party sellers do their own refurbishing and sale of Acer units on eBay, this deal's unit is a "Certified Refurbished", likely right from Acer or one of their certified partners, which usually means it's "like-new" condition, may also come w/ an Acer warranty, but I didn't check that far.
You might want to consider, for ~$120 more, this similar i9 model w/ 32GB RAM:
Acer 16" WUXGA Intel Core Ultra 9 S2 288V 32GB 1TB SSD Copilot+ AI PC Refurb: $724.72

we have a huge corp contract for thinkpads. they are soooooo bad. It is not the IBM thinkpads. It is a reputation multiplied by mediocre quality
