Wow, they just keep getting cheaper. Keep in my Tesla for an extra 8 miles so I don't have to push when I run out of juice....lol

Segway's getting out of the power station game, so you won't be able to return it if it's DOA, but u should still be able to get a refund. Bought this a couple months back for this price and LOVE the unit. Did a fun camping trip where we used a shirt press to make "merch" and this cube ran it for a few hours!

Ah that explains it a bit, thanks.

Better off to purchase with a premium credit card that gets you protection if something goes wrong down the line then. But given Segway as a business is still around I don't see how they can avoid providing warranty service.

So how essential is the app?
They'll eventually stop updating it and it'll stop working.

Bypass mode is only 1200w and it does not restore to full state after a full drain on battery when commercial power is restored.

If you are not using it as a set and forget UPS those are not issues.

Any chance this will get cheaper? Seriously considering buying this even though I don't "need" it.

On top of what others have mentioned, they also stopped selling the expansion batteries so that's not an option anymore

Very high self-consumption of power when A/C ports are on. UPS doesn't turn the A/C ports back on when battery power runs out and shore/wall power comes back.

anker S2000 for $600 is much better if you want 2048 capacity and don't need expandability

My concrete guy has been begging me to build him a packout type of charging station just for him to use to charge his Dewalt and Milwaukee batteries. I think this would be much cheaper than building it out from scratch.... and much less hassle!

Any recommendations on solar panels?
