I'd wait for the kit with the impact driver to go on sale. That's much more useful than the vacuum.
I got the one with the vacuum and the impact driver and I won't deny the usefulness of the impact driver, but don't disparage the vacuum. That thing has a lot more power than you'd expect and runs a long time on the 2.0 battery. It's easily the best handvac that I own and it has some steep competition.
Another reason to hold out is because the $200 sale packs are usually better. I got mine at the beginning of the season and it was the circular saw, recip saw, flashlight, leaf blower, weed wacker, a useless usb hub, vacuum, impact driver, drill, and both 2.0 mah, and 4.0 mah batteries.
I actually got the Craftsman 6 tool pack recently for a gift. How does Craftsman compare to Ryobi? (Power, battery life, etc). I don't need top of the line pro grade, just solid tools for DIY

If you have to ask, you'll probably be fine with either. Main reason someone starting out may lean into Ryobi is the fact that the battery platform supports hundreds of tools at this point.
I use Kobalt at home myself but my secondaries are ryobi since people are less likely to steal the neon green stuff, lol.

Yeah, after the fourth time of getting tools stolen from my truck/job sites I quit investing in Big Red and Yellow. Plus I'm not out in the field any more. This is for Honey-Dos and smaller projects.
