This is solid if all you need is a probe to stick in the meant and another to get the temperature of the cooking chamber adjacent to the meat being cooked. For a four-probe thermometer with wifi, which I would recommend, expect to pay roughly twice as much.

Have this and it has worked really well over the years. More advanced models have come out since but mine is still going.

Seeing a lot of wires, are we sure it is wireless?

Those are for the probes, there is a wireless receiver you can carry around

I have one of these dual probe ThermoPro dual probe sets. The "wireless" feature is simply for a monitor you can take with you when you leave the immediate area where you're cooking. The temperature probes are wired to a base unit that has to be positioned just outside the oven, bbq or smoker. It works fine but I find the wires are a pain to deal with so when I got my first truly wireless thermometer...a ThermoMaven G1...my ThermoPro set went into a drawer where it remains today.

The G1 ThermoMaven units are frequently listed in SD for about $25 and dual probe ThermoMaven units that are also truly wireless are frequently listed in SD for $40-$50 depending on the model/features. I have an X2 model and like the G1 model, find it so much nicer to use than fussying with wires.
