I'm not sure. I wanted the PC price to go down and thought b2b AI was an illusion, too. But I'm seeing a lot (especially younger people 20-30) of people subscribe to Chatgpt and pay monthly to use it for all kinds of things. It might be a hype but probably not an illusion. (similar to Internet back in the 90s, overhyped but does have some demand) Given that it's unlikely for the price to go down.... any time soon. Seems to me only hope is for the Chinese DRAM makers to grow up and increase production. As of now they are way inferior and don't even produce enough to satisfy their own demand. Not that I like to buy Chinese DRAM but as of now the choices are just very limited for DRAM.

A month ago for the July 4th sale, this exact model was around $2.3k~ I'm beginning to regret not buying it when it was cheaper.

My 2080ti based system is freezes/resets more and more. I can smell it dying.

So I'm forced to buy now. The 5090 is a huge upgrade, but much too expensive.

$2,700 is what I paid for my 2080ti system in 2019 so I'm oddly at peace with this price.

It really is top-tier gaming.
