Ghost Recon Wildlands stands out as a very cheap way into Ubisoft open world shooting, with the base game getting the strongest praise and the expansions looking less compelling at the extra cost. The game can run into a serious startup problem on Intel CPUs with e cores and p cores unless the e cores are disabled or the game is pinned to non e cores. The Rogue Prince of Persia, meanwhile, is getting strong metroidvania praise for its careful mechanics, map tools, and flexible difficulty, especially with a controller or Steam Deck. Ubisoft account linking and Ubisoft Connect access remain part of the package, so the deal works best if that launcher is not a dealbreaker.
Players who want a cheap open-world shooter to sample the base game first, because the main campaign is enjoyable and the expansions are not worth the extra cost.
Controller players on Steam Deck who like guided exploration, because the map tools, hidden-item markers, and difficulty options make the main game easy to navigate.
The base game is the safer buy if you want to try it first, since the extra DLC cost is considered steep and the expansions are not worth the extra for some players. Fallen Ghosts is the standout add-on, while Narco Road is the weaker one.
Yes. They still need to be linked to a Ubisoft account and can then appear in Ubisoft Connect on PC, including games previously claimed through PlayStation Plus.
Wildlands may not start on some Intel CPUs with both E-cores and P-cores unless the E-cores are disabled in BIOS. A workaround is CPU pinning with Process Lasso to keep Steam, the anti-cheat, and the game executable on non-E-cores.
The game is praised for careful metroidvania design, including map markers, hidden-content maps, and adjustable difficulty settings, and it plays well with a controller or Steam Deck. It was reportedly under $9 in a previous Steam sale, so this deal is not the lowest seen.
Looks like the definitive edition is 20 bucks with the code. I'm on the fence if i should just get the base to see if i like the game or get the upgrade. an extra 18 bucks for an older dlc seems steep but maybe i'm cheap lol. I read Fallen Ghosts was really good not so much for Narco roads

I enjoyed the base game and the expansions weren't worth the extra.
Do not buy wildlands on pc if you have an intel processor with e cores and p cores. It will not start unless you go into the bios and disable the e cores.

Looks like you can also get it working by doing some CPU pinning. There is a reddit thread for using Process Lasso to pin Steam, the anti-cheat and the game .exe to the non-E cores of the CPU. That way you can still use your full processor like normal. You can set it to automatically run all the time or manually which is what I would do personally.
Just played through Lost Crown, I often don't love metroidvanias but they put a lot of care into putting mechanics in help you mark stuff to go back to, buy maps to find hidden stuff, and tweak a lot of the settings to change the difficulty. I didn't go through all the optional but extra hard platforming sections but really enjoyed the main game if you have a controller, steam deck, etc. I think it was slightly cheaper in the last steam sale though, under $9.

It legit might be the best metroidvania after dread and hollow knight for me
Wait, I am a bit confused here. So if someone buys these games on lets say a PS5 and link it to their Ubisoft account, you can play on PC for free?
Yes, except that I did not buy any games...
If you're buying directly through Ubisoft they might sometimes have historical low offers but it might be worth spending a bit more to get it elsewhere since you still will have it on Ubisoft's launcher on PC.
Again, I got the monthly games from the PS+ membership which I got only for online gaming...
Requires to claim individually and also requires membership to keep playing them but no longer have...however on PC I can still play them through the Ubisoft launcher that this post's "deals" requires that Ubiconnect launcher to play.

Wildcards is also on sale at steam for $2.50. I personally would pay the 50 cent difference just to have it in my steam library. Still deciding though. Haha.

Ghost Recon Wildlands can be made to start on some Intel e-core/p-core systems using CPU pinning with Process Lasso.
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown offers adjustable difficulty settings and helpful mechanics like marking items and buying maps for hidden content.
Buying Ubisoft PC games from other places can still add them to Ubisoft Connect, letting you access the library in the Ubisoft launcher.
Ghost Recon Wildlands base game play can be satisfying, with expansions described as not worth the extra cost.
Ghost Recon Wildlands may not start on Intel CPUs with e-cores and p-cores unless e-cores are disabled in BIOS.
The extra cost for older DLC upgrades can feel steep, with Narco Roads called out as less appealing than Fallen Ghosts.
Ubisoft account linking can be required even when buying from other stores, which may add Ubisoft Connect access requirements.
Ubisoft games can involve a huge map packed with many icons that takes around 100 hours of casual play to work through.

I have many games there from Playstation Plus membership that I no longer have but still have the games on Ubisoft's launcher on PC.
