SUNLU PLA is being used as a low cost everyday filament, with transparent colors printing especially well and looking remarkably clear, including a pure clear option labeled Transparent. The price for four rolls stands out, and the filament is described as consistent on a Bambu X1C. The main drawback is brittleness, especially with white PLA and PLA left sitting in the printer or PTFE tube, where it can snap at the feed point. Drying may help if the filament has absorbed moisture, making this a practical budget pick with some color specific quirks.

Anyone else have their sunlu pla just randomly break just sitting there? I have white pla+ and I keep coming to my printer and finding it broken where it feeds in.
Yep. Albeit, I had it loaded on the machine (Black PLA) for a couple months with no usage. Not sure if that contributed to breakage.

Yes, happens alot with my Sunlu PLA+. Quite annoying and might be a reason why I don't get this deal. Has not happened at all with my Bambu PLA.

Wait till you get a printer and have 40 rolls, but can't decide what to print.
Also when you are like "I need gray for this. No, not that gray, or that one, or that one ... damn it. Need to buy the right gray. Might as well get a 4 pack of something."

Also dang, none of the matte 4 packs down this low. Much prefer matte and I do need some colors for an upcoming project.

I've only just started using my existing supply of SUNLU filaments, but they have been good and I like them.
As an FYI, Sunlu is by far the largest filament manufacturer in the world. They manufacture filament for most of the brands, and those brands just slap their name on it.

It's more than likely wet. PLA becomes brittle when wet. You may need to dry it. I've rarely had issues with wet PLA, as it's the least hydroscopic filament, but it does happen.

I've had consistent issues with every roll of their white PLA that I've tried, but their other colors have been really good.
White filament needs the most pigment of any color to "color" it, so that's not surprising. I've had the most issues with white filament from all brands in general.

Pla is hygroscopic. It will need dried for several hours before being able to print if its been exposed to humidity for a prolonged period of time.
