Yes, a while back! I remember it being one of the only strategy games that I liked. The pieces actually look better now like a round castle instead of simple monolith. I might get it to play with the family!

I remember playing this when I was a kid and liking it a lot. That was back in the early 80s though. Haha... Not sure how young people would receive this game now... esp the ones who have attentions spans such that anything longer than 20 seconds long is "excruciatingly long"

After looking at other listings , I learned this isn't a remake of traditional (classic) stratego at all. This has 30 pieces per side instead of the traditional 40. Stratego Original is a remake of the traditional game. Though maybe both versions reverse the power numbers from the traditional game; who knows. No idea if Classic plays better with the fewer pieces, but the name sure is misleading; it's basically the opposite of what it claims to be. Should be Stratego Modern.
