What in the heck airline let's you take 110lb? We just flew southwest and it was a 50lb max. My wife stuffed her bag and it was only 37lb. Is someone packing their kids to need 110?

The max is the free limit. Most airlines just let you pay extra for more, some up to 100lb...

True. The cheap airlines even hire staff just to catch your oversized carryons so they can charge you more money. So ridiculous! This thing will be handy. But I just need to find a place for it so I can find it when I travel.

I trust analog weighing scales more than the digital ones. Donated 2 digital scales we had.

Weigh and measure your luggage before Frontier does, because they will.

I have a few cheap $5 digital luggage scales. They're 1+/- lbs off compared to the airport scales at the check in counter. So I just pack my luggage around 48lbs and never had a problem in any US, Europe, or Asian airports.

This is neat. I travel a lot with the fam and am now used to weighing stuff using the regular bathroom scales lol This should come handy at that price point.

I do the scale while packing to get a general idea...when when I'm close I'll close it up and weigh with a luggage scale to get it right up to the limit.

My wife can pack 50 pounds into a medium suitcase easily. I usually wind up around 40 with my large one. Go figure.

These are great for the return trip if you like to shop on vacation. 110 LBS though...that's some shopping work. Most people will have a hard time lifting a 110 LB suitcase to measure it.

I've had one of these from another brand for years. Been invaluable on intl trips. Neighors and friends have borrowed it so many times and always commented how useful it is. At this price gonna give them out as gifts

I feel like nowadays we need one of these and a sturdy bag like an IKEA bag to weigh the meat and produce before checking out.

I was flying Southwest. When I put luggage on the baggage drop, it weighed 53 lbs. The worker kindly said "the additional 3lbs weight is $100 more, but you can remove anything inside so that it stays under 50 lbs and weigh it again."
