Lids are made in either China or Cambodia​​​​​​​ = lids are the failure point and that's with hand washing not dishwashing. Only lids that will last without any issues are the locking lids.

Is the lid on this model new and redesigned? Or has it been around a while?

they had something, the whole point with this redesign is to have one area on the lid for opening to avoid stress to the other parts of the lid. Even the lids with the snap locks eventually dont seal but for me they offer the best performance which i value over longevity

Wish I could buy the lids for less than the cost of the entire set. We've got plenty of older sealable Pyrex but the clip hinges are broken

The snap lock version was $20 at my Costco. I just bought an entire new set, to get new lids, since it was so cheap.

If you already have pyrex bowls with broken lids, just buy lids from ebay, they're much better.
