This is an enterprise notebook. It's built to do office work, not game. IIRC, the "better" Elitebook screen is touch and does have a more brilliant image, but it also throws lots of glare. You can combat the glare with a brighter screen, but that kills your battery life. I like the matte screen better for this reason.
These are built for road warriors. They're like 3lbs and metal all around. They actually make decent student laptops, as they'll last at least 2-3 years vs 1 year for cheapo chromebooks. You can also load them up with RAM and fix them, which can keep them relevant for quite a long time. I got 8 years out of one of my old Elitebooks. I think my current Elitebook is a 640 g8. With 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage it's still very capable. It's not really cost effective to max them out right now, though.
My assumption is some form of the 250 nit screen, but it'd definitely be a buy with the 400 nit screen.
Resolution is not a problem at such small size.
Of course a 16:10 would be even better.
The only bad screen is TN panel (cheap and ugly), or OLED (expensive but PWM flicker)
