There was a local fair one near me but in my experience, fair are always missing parts so I didn't want to risk driving out there for it to be missing one or more of the mods.

I'd rather get the DJI Action 4 or 5 than this. The image quality on the DJI cameras might be *slightly* worse, but the overall DJI ecosystem, software, and build quality are all much better on the DJI cameras than the GoPro 13.

As long as it is excellent open box it is covered under normal warranty

Got my open box excellent today and it came rough. They pulled all the packing materials out of it and sent everything loose in the GoPro zipper case. The camera and Volta were free tumbling with all the other accessories in there. I can't see any big scratches but there are certainly some scuffs that won't come out. That said, all the pieces are there so that's good. Came dead so charging it up now, hope it turns on.

You have no clue if it will include the factory warranty, especially since Best Buy doesn't state this with their "excellent open box" items.

If it was registered before, you will have no normal warranty. Also, I see no wording on GoPro the warranty is transferable in cases like this.

So upon further inspection of mine that was delivered today, the battery will not work. I have been charging it for 2 hrs and it wont turn in. If I pull out the battery and plug it in, it will turn on. Ugh....
*Edit - Got it to turn on by pulling the battery and holding the power for 15 secs. Then put the battery back in and it suddenly charged.
**Edit 2 - Went to the store to get the fair condition, it was missing the volta and the microphone mod and only had the gopro. What a load of BS. I drove an hour (round trip) to be hugely let down.

Same here, all in zipper bag loose. Moderately scratched. Only turns on when battery is out. When battery is in - either connected to power or not - it will not turn on at all. Sure, it goes back to BestBuy
