Putter plus an aerobie for drives? How would that work?

Ha, ha, well give it a try and have fun with it and see how it works. I'd think an Aerobie wouldn't be accurate (which you need in disc golf), especially if there is any wind. But I've seen many people who are more comfortable playing with a larger Ultimate disc throw that for their whole round because that is what they are used to and they don't have a big learning curve throwing the smaller discs.

I always suggest Innova store on Fridays for starters. Their socials will post a code before 11am central time for a free disc if you buy 3. They have flat rate shipping too. Depending on how much you want to spend will depend on the plastic. Get factory seconds for sure. DX plastic is $6, Champion/Star plastic $12, and halo star is $14. The freebie will be premium so you could get three base discs for $6, a free premium, and then shipping is $6. As for actually discs, get these....

Putter - Aviar
Mid - Roc3
Fairway - Leopard3

I'll share the code tomorrow, and post exactly what I'd suggest a beginner buys. The freebie could be one of these.

Following up b/c the freebie code is out. It is for a premium Valkyrie which I almost recommended as one of the 3 last night. Here is what you do. Go to this link below and create an account (have to for freebie). I put Lynx as an option over Leopard3 if you only want to spend $6 per disc b/c the cheapest Leopard3 is $12. Anyways, pick one Aviar, one Roc3, and then your call on Leopard3 or Lynx (they're basically the same). At checkout, put ridetovalhalla in the promo code to add the free disc.
