I bought the black version of this swing-arm lamp in April for $12.99 used like new from Amazon, and overall it has been a perfectly fine light. There honestly isn't a whole lot more to say about it. It turns on, puts out light, and does what I bought it to do.
That said, it definitely isn't heavy-duty. If I adjust or bump it, the whole lamp teeters around like it's caught in a windstorm. I also remember reading another review warning that adjusting the arm without holding the base can eventually cause it to crack or break where it attaches, so I've been careful to support the base whenever I move it.
Basically, it's not a Tolomeo, but it also didn't cost Tolomeo money. If you set it up where you want it and mostly leave it alone, it works just fine and will continue doing its primary job of putting out light. For $12.99, I really can't complain too much. I'd say it's worth the $16 it's priced at now but absolutely not worth the "normal" price. I couldn't recommend the black one at $29 as I'd expect much more quality for that price.
