My wife is going to be so annoyed if it does go on clearance. She had no idea.

I have a 34" Alienware OLED and kinda can't imagine anything wider.
Thinking in 4 or 5 years, I will try a 32" 4k or a TV on the wall before I go super duper wide.

You can tile 3 windows across easily. Works very well for office work

Not a fan of my 49" Samsung for work, it's too wide imo. I wish I had gotten a stubby (normal scale TV) and not an ultrawide.

I have a 49" Samsung. It excels in productivity. You can use PowerToys in Windows to setup FancyZones so that you can drag applications on specific portions of your monitor. I like it better than having 2 monitors, because I can separate 3 or 4 applications across it at the width I choose.

Thank you for mentioning the software! Have been looking for something like this before upgrading.

It depends on how close you sit away from your monitor. My desk only allows me to place it like 18 inches away and I found it too close, as I have to constantly turn my head a lot. I would have preferred a 2-monitor or a single 21:9 ultra wide monitor setup, but that's just me.

Another consideration factor is the curvature of the monitor. I also found 1800R a bit too flat; would have preferred a 1000R instead.

I have the Samsung Neo g9. It's 1000R with the same specs otherwise. The curvature is perfect. And fancy zones makes multi-tasking so much easier. I could never go back to my triple monitor build. 1800R is too flat.

Yep. Typing on it now. I use it for at work with three windows up simultaneously (browser in one window / Teams in another / email in another). It's also great for video editing. I liked the one I got for home so much that I bought one for myself for my workplace.

Windows has some built-in screen partitioning tools, but Display Fusion works REALLY well and it's not that expensive (or even free).

have this one for more than a year so far. can't imagine my daily work without this 49" real estate of workspace. plus the step into OLED zone was absolutely worth it - my eyes thanked me massively for doing that, I experience close to no eye strain across all the day at the monitor.

Thoughts on the Sams club 3 year warranty (Allstate) for $90? Worth it on something like this or no?

Same. The Samsung G9 OLED models are 1800R as well, not sure who made this choice as OLED should have been easily capable of the tighter curvature. No interested in these models as is.
