Stay away from Eufy. Updates to the app will render the cameras and hardware useless. BEWARE THIS IS JUNK!
Straight lies...i bet you did something and trying to blame eufy.

Let's say you're right, you can't use 256gb card anymore... did the hardware suddenly stop working? Because that is what you stated in your previous post.

I have a few Eufy cameras. From reading the manual on all my cameras it says the max SD micro cards is 128gb. When did it allow 256gb to be used?

They do this for every Eufy post. Ignore.
I think their Ex's name was Eufy.

I don't think any battery powered security cameras allow for 24/7 recording. I could be wrong.. Perhaps something special with a really big solar panel?

I have been running a eufy system for two years through very harsh winters.
I have 3 eufycam 2 connected to Homebase 2
4 C210 wired independent cams
1 wired 1080p doorbell
1 battery 2k door bell.

The best product are the eufycam 2 connected to Homebase 2. Rock solid with zero hiccups. Video retrieval is fast.

Second best is wired doorbell. Instant notification when someone rings the bell but live view when I click on the notification is too slow. 2 way communication is mediocre at best.

Battery doorbell I haven't used enough - it's just on the back door ws an additional camera. Battery life is half that of eufycam 2.

C210 cams are cheap and for good reason. They record fine but video retrieval is quite slow. I sometimes have to restart the cameras from the app to get the retrieval to work. My 64GB SD cards are however functioning fine after 2 years of use. I usually format the card once it's half full which takes anywhere from 6-12 months. All my cameras are set to record human events only.

I used Wyze for 7 years before Eufy and overall am very happy with the move to Eufy because of no subscription. Been thinking about upgrading all my cameras to battery cams with home base 3 but haven't found the right deal.

This, or the two S3 pros (4k, radar sensor, better color at night, better solar panel) for $270:

Or 2 of the newer E40s (2k but 24 fps, better color at night, better solar panel) for $186:

I will never buy eufy cams again after my experiences. I just replaced my solar floodlight cams due to all of them developing leaks on the rear seals and the lights clear cover turning solid white, The solar panels also developed a cracking white surface that drastically slowed the charging (but never enough to make them unusable) They also changed the way the encryption worked and slowed the video retrieval massively, sometimes I would have to reload the video list multiple times just to get the videos to arrive and then wait on timeouts while playing the video.

Notifications always worked flawlessly and the video quality was great, the other issues caused them to be unusable for me.
