I own a few of this case and a few other $5-ish cases from AliExpress, they have similar performance in my test. Those cases from AliExpress actually use newer USB to SATA chips internally. IMO $5 should be ORICO's regular price.

I did like that but got a problem. My hard drive is 9mm high so I ordered a case with the description of 9mm. They sent me a 7.5mm case so the hard drive did not fit in the case.

The one I just recovered came with a USB-C to USB-C cable with a C to USB-A adaptor. Worth it for the adaptor alone. They might not all be like this as the one I bought a few months ago wasn't like this.

Yes it should. Just make sure to look at your connectors to figure out what kind of harddive it is so it will match the enclosure....most are SATA nowadays tho
