Ask your hair dresser if this is worth it. I saw this refurbished on eBay months ago for dirt cheap via Dyson and asked mine if it would be good for my kid's hair. Hell nah! Was recommended a more popular ceramic plate style instead which was perfect. It's not a knock against Dyson but more about how this dries. This blows hot air (obviously) so it wouldn't give that silk press my kid loves but instead would just be a wavy straightener. Would be effective but wouldn't give that silk press and instead would just give....curly straight hair.
