Bambu Lab has been pretty anti-consumer lately, such asfirmware lockdowns and legal threats against devs. Louis Rossmann did a good video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jhRqgHxEP8

Yes it is. It's a plug and play. Can also handle a variety of filaments with ease. I would do more research though on printers currently available. They all cater to different needs.

Yeah, I'd still say it's a good printer for beginners and a solid value. I'm honestly at the point where I just want something that works without constant tinkering. I'm tired of printers that don't live up to expectations (creality )— my K2 Plus has been frustrating, and I can't get consistent prints anymore. No longer prints PETG. TPU has also been a headache with clogging. The Bambu printers just seem to work, which is a huge plus.

That said, I get the anti-consumer criticism too. The closed ecosystem, blocking some customizations, and making it harder for third-party options definitely rubs people the wrong way. I'm not a fan of that either. But for someone who just wants reliable printing at a good price, it's hard to ignore. Now is prusa was a similiar price point to some of these Chinese printers it would be a no brainer it's just too rich for my blood.
