Brand allegiance most likely. All these cameras work relatively the same. Just get whatever. When you post your footage no one is going to look at it and say dang, this really would have turned out better if you shot it with an insta 360 max 2000 wiz bang boom camera.

Image size. X6 is the first 360 cam where colors and sensitivity in darkness is just so ahead of smaller sensor sizes. See youtube vids for comparison, X6 image is so much better. During night time it looks like it is evening, no grain artifacts. Colors are more natural and dynamic, making the video compariable to gopro non-360 vids.

I bought this over the x6 and even over the x5 when I had access to the $450 costco deal.
I wanted the higher resolution and nightime shooting nor professional features do not matter to me as I'm using this to video my toddler.
I paired it with this stick which was on sale for $13 at the time https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1KCN2Y3
I also bought the non-bundle Max2 from bestbuy, open box for less than $250, so easily 2x cheaper than the insta360 models.

given the lower cost, I have no issues handing it to my child and letting him run around with it. have gotten some great POV shots of him.

the senser on insta360 x6 is way larger than go pro (1/1.1" vs 1/2.3") which means the low light footage is way better. Also insta360 has more accessories

I'd like to say you're wrong but you're not. For ex., I was a DJI loyalist until the ban forced me to try the Skyrover. Turns out my brand loyalty was flying higher than my drone.

Very true. OTOH, it's nearly 2x the cost compared to this, barring some amazing sale
