You can get significantly more grams of clay from other brands for less on Amazon. I prefer a clay mitt, cover more surface area in less time. Looks like some of them aren't much more than this kit, but without the extras.

I recently bought a clay bar mitt, however when I first used it I ended up maring my paint. I am assuming my preparation was incorrect. What was your first experience using this method like?

I have a mitt from Griots Garage. Used it maybe five times, no issues. Last time was on a car that hadn't been clayed or waxed in a couple years. I use ONR at something like 1oz/1gal in a spray bottle. Takes a fraction of the time using a clay bar does.
